The University of Buffalo in New York released this whitepaper concerning the future of Learning Management Systems (LMS) in higher learning institutions. It first opened the whitepaper on how LMS addressed some of the paperwork challenges concerning enrollment, class diversity, and faculty resources that plagued schools since the beginning of time. The focus of the white paper is on the adoption, success, shortcomings, and the prediction that Learning Management Systems will be an integral part of traditional learning institutions. Universities such as UBNY, have evolved their LMS systems to meet their demands and as other technologies themselves evolves and adapts. In their study, it shows that only less than 7% of institutions have not adopted a form of LMS to integrate into their curriculum. It allowed them to have a wide course offering and gave students more freedom to take diversified classes.
